We’re so lucky to live in Tucson, Arizona surrounded by beautiful landscapes and really unique venues. We have been wanting to do something at Tohono Chul Park for some time now and found it a perfect venue for our styled shoot with the amazing photography duo that is Betsy and John.

The color palette was primarily indigo blue accented by blushes and pinks, drawing inspiration from our majestic Arizona sunsets. Being surrounded by cactus, we wanted to bring some of that plant life into our florals by using succulents and air plants alongside copper and crystal details. The bohemian vibe we created by using the vintage VW bus by Ohhh Photo Booth and amazing calligraphy by Betsy Dunlap went perfectly with our desert backdrops at the park. Our bride wore a beautiful gown from our favorite bridal boutique Jbridal and jewelry by Mahlia Collection.

Our town truly embodies the desert spirit and is a perfect location for all things bohemian.

Hello Sweets! Tucson Bride & Groom: Styled Shoot

I had so much fun styling this “Fresh Memories, Traditional Recipes..” dessert table for the winter/spring 2016 issue of Tucson Bride and Groom Magazine. I was thrilled when TB&G asked us to take on the lead design for a dessert table that did not include the usual apothecary jars with candy! So Hello Sweets was created with a kinfolk feel, I wanted the desserts to be very-home like, something your grandmother would bake on a Sunday afternoon. Simple single size servings have a way to making you feel extra special and a light and neutral color palette of cream, blush and shades of peach kept the dessert display friendly and inviting! Enjoy and be Inspired by LOVE!

Huge thank you to TB&G and our fellow Elite Circle Members they are incredibly talented wedding pros!

A bit from the bride
Inspiration style: “I spent a lot of time thinking about it and what best describes our wedding style is simple and elegant We will have a lot of soft/neutrals will a few pops of color here and there. I want it to feel and look natural (farm tables, wooden wire wheel cake table, etc.) yet fancy and fun! Our wedding will be held at Agua Linda Farm and it was important to both of us that we have an outdoor ceremony and reception. Being in an open, beautiful space is where we both feel at home – connected to one another.” – Emily

Today we’re excited to share these lovely engagement photos from Soiree Bride-to-be Emera and her fiance John. These two love birds will tie the knot on October 24th of this year in Phoenix, Arizona and we are so lucky to be a part of it! Their engagement shoot is a true representation of their style and we can’t wait to share the details of their amazing warehouse wedding we are helping plan.

We love the desert setting they chose for their photos, combined with such chic elements and that DRESS! Kudos to Monique Hessler Photography for capturing these beautiful moments…And just in time for Valentine’s Day we thought it would be perfect to share not only their photoshoot but also their sweet engagement story. Big thanks to Emera for sharing the love. Enjoy!!

“John and I planned a couple’s getaway to Maui last October of 2013. The weekend before
our trip, we hosted a dinner at our home for my family. My mom came over with enough food to feed
our entire neighborhood, which should have been a red flag, however being Filipino we do not cook
less than bulk! In the middle of dinner, John excused himself from the table but never returned. From
our back yard, I heard “Need You Now” by Lady Antebellum playing and I instantly knew what was
about to happen! What I did not know is that John had invited a few of our close friends to be a part of
our proposal! Holding candlesticks, as well as tears, we all listened to my wonderful soon-to-be fiancé
express his love and ask me to marry him! Those close to us who lived far away were able to watch
the entire proposal via Facetime. My now maid of honor also put together a video for us which
incorporated messages from other friends and family sending their well wishes. I could not have
dreamt of a more perfect proposal!” – Emera
